Is there a way to display restricted node count ?

Description
Any time you apply access on some pages they becomes invisible and if using a container it shows pages as empty, this usually occurs in a story and also the forum. Is there a way to make it so it at least displays the count as in the article does exist.
I'd like it to show that content does exist instead of looking like its empty.
