Sir,
I am using drupal 5.1 on apache2 web server with php 5.2.4 . After attemting to set Mail API settings The site drews blank ( i mean nothing is displayed except white page).Even after restarting the server problem remains the same.renewing database make the site work. Can some one guide me ?.

The beta version was a mistake to release, and wasn't complete, and certainly not bug free. Look for the Drupal 6 (completely re-writen) version in the future, and possibly a new backport of that for Drupal 5.
