Formatting the Category Term Name display

I'm building a vocabulary based upon product names that contain italicized letters. (ex: SuPer) I would really like to be able format the display of the Category Term Name to convey the italics. Is there a way to add formatting to the category term name? Or, is there a way to add a "display text" field to the vocabulary item?
