I would appreciate a feature that allows me to restrict the filter itself to a subset of the selected vocabularies. In other words, I'd like to display some vocabularies as a dictionary using the alphabet bar, but I neither need nor want to use them in the actual glossary filter.

While I'm willing to consider cloning the module to provide a set of dictionaries only, it would be much nicer to have a one-stop module.

This isn't really a patch, just a suggestion.

  • Create a new input filter (input format) that is not used by any nodes.
  • Configure it to use this vocabulary(-ies).
  • Set up the dictionary vocabulary(-ies) and populate the terms.
  • Create your menu link (I'm assuming that's how you would use it) to glossary/xx where xx is the dictionary vocabulary id.
