Thanks,
Christopher

rhys commentedSort of, I've been busy moving, so as soon as I can get back to it, I will.

rhys commentedSorry Christopher about the delay, I've been busy with domestic issues.
Now that I'm back working on this, I plan to have a close to stable release version, sometime over the next week. A bit of beta testing so to speak, and then we'll have a first release.

delykj commentedDear Rhys,
Thanks your reply.
Will you include in this stable version the media_gallery, media_rss modules?
Also, will you develop a user friendly media management UI in this stable version? I think that a simple, wizard like uploading and media selecting wizard (like in the Asset module) would be the best for the end users.
Thanks in advance,
Christopher

rhys commentedWhat will be in this first release:
- MAPI with current extensions.
- MMEDIA
* media
* media_attach
* media_embed
This means of course, I'm missing some of the really GOOD features for the stable release, but I want something that people can use immediately.
The other things that you suggest, are necessary are will be included in the next stable release.

rhys commentedOk, so I've uploaded what I think is the most likely candidate for the stable release version, coming out sometime in the very near future. If you could help with debugging, I'd be happy to help squash those bugs as soon as possible. This should include checking all the variations of the modules being switched on or off.
I like the idea of the wizard, but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. It won't be included in the first stable release of the MMEDIA module, but with a bit of help, I'd be happy to integrate it into the system, patches always welcome :D.

rhys commentedNo wizard, but a definitely whole new version of the MAPI and MMEDIA modules, they are fairly simple to use.
If you've got more questions, or want to know more on the development progress, please start another issue.

Chris Gillis commentedIs this module still alive?
There have been several issues submitted over the last few months with no feedback. Can I expect continuing development, or should I look for a different module(s)?
Thanks for all that is done so far.
Cheers, Chris

rhys commentedDue to the necessity to eat, I've been quite busy in the last few months. However, I'll be releasing a supported drupal 6 version in the next couple of weeks. It features quite a few changes to the mapi_derivatives menu system, to be more inline with how D6 handles menu structures.
Also, the modules were somewhat rewritten to handle the changes that were required to make both MAPI and MMEDIA into fully functional versions.

Chris Gillis commentedGreat news! I look forward to begin testing of your new version.

rhys commentedThese are the modules for both mapi and mmedia that will be place on drupal fairly soon.
There are few minor bugs, but if there is anything that specifically needs patching or is obviously a major error I have missed, please contact me via my contact form.
It has somewhat reduced functionality for the moment, but this will be extended immediately after the first release.

rhys commentedOk, so I'll be working on the d5 version as a backport soon, the d6 version is close to being completed.
