Event subscription module?

Hi all,

we are in need to do the following with drupal:

Post a number of Events (workshops if you will).

Then, registered users must be able to subscribe to a workshop of their choice...
We of course, will need an overview of who is subscribed to which specific workshop.

Is this possible with Drupal, and if yes, what module(s) should we be after?
