Does anybody has any experience with Iron Mountain Hosting? (imountain.com)

They offer clustered shared hosting and VPS at very reasonable prices, and the only negative thing about them I've been able to find is that they possibly are exaggerating the amount of solar power they're using. I was wondering if anybody on here might have had any experience with them, or could say what they think?

I'm planning to run a CMS on either Wordpress or Drupal, so I'm concerned about MySQL response time. I was under the impression that clustered hosting meant MySQL could be slower than traditional hosting, so I asked an iMountain sales rep, who replied:

"I think you will find that our mySQL clusters are extremely fast, the slow part are the advertisements, not the mySQL. I don’t think you’ll find any of our clients complaing about slow speed. Here are some clustered mySQL sites that really are fast:

http://car-seat.org

http://arenajunkies.com/forum (this uses a dedicated cluster)

http://mozillapl.org/forum (Luxury Hosting)

http://dallascowboyscentral.com/forum"

Problem is, I'm not really sure those sites are so fast? Maybe it's just my connection though, so I was hoping maybe somebody else could give me their educated opinion.

Thanks in advance,
Docha

Maybe I should reformulate myself (since nobody seems to have any experience with iMountain).

Are (any of) these iMountain-hosted sites fast? MySQL-wise and otherwise.

http://mozillapl.org/forum (Luxury Hosting)

http://tagpuan.com (this site is extremely heavy traffic and uses our Luxury cluster with Memcache and clustered mySQL)

Thanks in advance for any answers.

I've read only a few things about them at webhostingtalk.com .

Here's a search link: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?searchid=4179607

My web partner and I have been with imountain since March and cant recommend them highly enough. After 2 years with Blue Host we had numerous problems that were always *our fault* but our experience with imountain is the opposite. Nothing too much trouble, always willing to help quickly. With 20 sites on a dedicated server (all drupal bar one) we needed reliable support and feel we have it.
If we think any of the sites are running slowly we let them know and it is immediately addressed.

Take a scroll through any of the sites here and see the speed for yourself. http://www.darcyliciousdesigns.com. Nearly all our sites are not for profit or for charities.

I have to say that Blue Host have been by far the best domain registrars I have used or had to deal with.
