Been peeking the panels tables in my db, looks like the 'name' column in {panels_display} never gets any value ?
Filing as a bug, maybe it isn't...

I was going to have displays named as well, but it turns out I can't, and I don't need to; so I never implemented the feature, so the column is superfluous. It could just as easily be removed.

Heh. Wow@this still being open :) $display->name was removed in beta4-ish.
