Site Name Won’t Stick

For some reason, in the last 24 hours, my SITE NAME continually reverts itself to “Drupal” ...

I surf to Home » Administer » Site configuration, then change it by typing in the desired name, click “Save Configuration,” wait for the page to reload, and the site name always defaults back to “Drupal.”
