Hi!
I dind't use this module so sorry if I wrote something what is implemented already.
- To do own contentype for dayInHistory then users can create easy his/her own interesting dayInHistory
e.g. 11. 11. 2001: I met my current wife at first time
or I finished school etc...
- to add option for owner/creator node, that he can set if this node will be visible for everybody in list of all days or for owner only or for owner and his/her buddies (work with buddylist module). (some of his personal nodes can be visible and some not.)
then each users can view all visible days with his/her own days together.
work with taxonomy and views som I can list all nodes for some day in some taxonomy vocabulary (personal/friendship/...etc)
work with buddylist - user can select than he/she wants to view all days(admin days + user days) or (admin days + his/her buddies days only) or admin days only or his/her buddies days only.
what is your opinon about it? It is mayby not exactly for you did this module but I think that it can be great opportunity.
Thanks
Igorik

The permissions can be set so anyone can create a Historical Event.
There isn't an option for creating a "my historical events" block, but I was thinking about it. Filtering on the currently logged in user would be simple. I think it's a good idea and will add it as a task.
The option "Promote to block" sets site visibility, but might not be granular enough for this use case. I hadn't considered buddylist integration, but think it's a cool idea. Views integration may be the best way to do this. I'll explore this some more when Views integration is done.
This Day in History Historical Event nodes already work with taxonomy and Views support is planned.
