Hi.

This module (plus the extra voting forms module, which I'm using) is great and provides great flexibility in karma handling. I've installed and configured it everything is working perfectly.

However, my expected outcome after installing this combo was to allow me to show/hide comments based on ratings/karma, and couldn't find anywhere how to accomplish this. Currently my users, nodes and comments all have good rank/karma handling but... how can I make something useful out of this?

Am I missing something or didn't understand how things are supposed to work?

Or maybe some additional module/theme tweaking is necessary to make this happen?

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this support request. Many thanks.

Hi,

Luckily, it was the right place :-D

The module you want is Comment bury/promote ( http://drupal.org/project/comment_bury_promote ).

Please let me know if it works for you. It's not widely used. So, it might have little glitches. The good news is that it's a very simple modules, and it's easy to fix simple things!

Bye!

Merc.

HI Merc.

Thanks for your promptly response.

Yes, CB/P is the module I was looking for!

I'm playing with it a bit and it does what I need and more. Many thanks!

Update and another question:

Had to switch Extra Voting Forms with Vote Up/Down due to jquery issues (newer jquery.js shipped with EVF broke some other modules).

My question is: is it possible to base user's next post/comment ranking on current user's karma?

I mean, if GoodUser has karma 500 and BadUser has it at -800, it makes sense to show BadUser's next post buried but GoodUser's posts be shown in full.

It looks like despite the karma difference, new posts from BadUser and GoodUser are always created equal -- with 0 votes.

Actually, I think I'm trying to mimic Karma handling of post/comments with User Karma -- i.e. to show/hide posts based on votes and base new posts ranking on poster's karma. Is it possible?

Many thanks!

Hi,

Adding an *unrelated* follow-up question on a *closed* issue is really not a good idea at all... sorry.
I hadn't seen it.

If this is still relevant, please open a new issue!
