Hey all,
I have run into a big problem! I really need help! I am using Drupal 5.2.
A designer on our drupal site created a field called 'field_email' that was a textfield for a custom content type called "Find an Advocate", and noted in the help text that emails would be encoded. But they are not! We were never using the CCK Email and Invisimail modules at this point, and I never bothered to double check before building our Advocate directory.
We added hundreds of nodes with field_email filled in, when I realized that they were not being encoded due to us creating the textfields as plain text.
I have installed CCK Email and Invisimail modules, and they work great to encode email input when I create another content type, or use them with other content types.
But when I try editing the "field_email" we were using for the FInd an Advocate to use the new CCK email field, the option is unavailable (makes sense). If I choose to delete and recreate the field, than we will loose all the info we had that matched each entry with the organizations email address. Re-adding all these emails will take days of data entry, but I can't leave those emails up there, not encoded, out of respect to those advocates in our listings.
It seems like I need to do some sort of conversion. I checked out the "Flexinode to CCK Converter" module, but we're not using flexinode, so this isn't what I need.
Is there something else I could use, any recommendations out there? It's an emergency! Please help if you have any suggestions.
Thank you all ever so much.
