Hello,

I've been using default filter successfully for a while. On my most recent installation (Drupal 5.7) it simply won't work, and I can't figure out why. I set the role "boss" to "full html" for type "page" and weight it above the rest, however it won't take effect. Was there an update in Drupal core that is affecting this?

Solved it. I'm an idiot - I hadn't set that specific role to be allowed to use that input format. Might be useful to add this to the documentation for first time users.
