Does anyone know if it is feasible to convert an existing web site of static html/css pages to a dynamic site using drupal if many of the existing pages belong to WebRings? WebRings, if you are unfamiliar with them, are groups of related sites that are linked together by a navigation banner that is common to all the sites in each ring.

I ask because I belong to more than a hundred webrings of various subjects, no more than two or three to any one page of my site. I like the concept, but they don't bring much if any traffic and are a pain to maintain (and represent outgoing links from the web site, that may be a bad thing for ranking). OTOH, I *do* like the concept and would like to keep the WebRing memberships I have going after converting to Drupal if it is feasible.

For an example of a page that belongs to WebRings, check http://www.TheBicyclingGuitarist.net/studies/eagles.htm (one of my better essays).

I just read a recent thread in the webrings.org managers' forum, in which the powers that be webring say they don't care about validating to w3c standards, so unimportant to them that it is not even on their list of things to do. I would think that validating to standards nearly ten years old should be their number one priority, not something that they dismiss so cavalierly. I will see if they respond to the post I put in their forum in the next couple days, but if I don't see some genuine contrition I'm outta there...
