I've just installed this, and while the image I upload (via an imagefield on my custom content type) appears after clicking the Upload button, the resizers on the crop box do not work, and neither can the crop box be moved. Both the resizers and crop box do show their cursors however.

Using firebug, I get the following error: 

Drupal.imagefield_crop has no properties

I've tried fiddling with the settings to no avail, I'm quite stuck

a) The PHP version 5.2.2
b) The resize works on that site

Which browser are you using? Have you checked other browsers?
Can you attach (or send me personally) the HTML that you get when you choose 'view->source' from the browser on that page?

From your description, I believe this is the same issue as http://drupal.org/node/220694. Please grab the latest dev version (from CVS today, or from the project page tomorrow).
