Image node type is suddenly gone

The weird thing is that admin/settings/image is still available, but all posted images lost their type: image. Can i reset the node types table or something?

After fiddeling with the system table, i deleted one wrong entry. Suddenly everything worked again... I wish i could come up with a sensible explanation for all of this, but i can't.
So for the people having the same kind of problem, check your system table...
