The Fle upload is now working for me in 5.7 and 6.0 rc3.
I have searched and read forum threads for 100 times, tried all methods... chmoded to 777 temp, tmp, files,and etc and etc.... nothing works.
Then i installed the 6.rc3 version, the same situation... file uploads do not work...10 times checked the permissions to "temp" forlders and "files" folders, really don't know what to do. Also tried to google...found nothing that may help.
My host uses php 5, apache 2, what i should do now? Please advise. I also notice that in 5.7 files are not uploaded at all, but in 6.0rc3 they are uploaded with size "0", anyway cant view them neither via browser bo directly.
I would so much appciciated if someone could show at least a direction for a solution.... THANK YOU IN ADVANCE MUCH :)

check your error log to see
check your error log to see what's wrong. also, try the upload module on a local install (http://www.lullabot.com/videocast/installing_drupal_5) and see if you still get the problem.
