I'm new to drupal and I have a local site where I have a test page and the Only local images are allowed. code is not working to display images. the logo is displayed fine. Help please

You should try looking in /admin/settings/file-system and see if this is reporting any errors first. You might need to explain a little more about the problem, not much to go on ;-/
