Some other asp portals out there have a very useful sliding private message notifier that I find Drupal's PM module lacks.

Basically when a user has recieved a PM and logs in - a small windows slides across the screen saying "You have a new private message.

I'd love to see this incorporated into the PM module.

No new features are added to old branches so I'm setting this to won't fix. For Drupal 6, there is http://drupal.org/project/pmgrowl which provides exactly this feature.
