With Drupal, you can create for the future

Drupal has been around since 2001 and continues to attract active developers. With this track record, you can be assured it will continue to grow and be actively maintained in the future. Continued development is an important consideration when planning for a site, or when determining what system to adopt. A "future-proof system" is one that innovates and adapts to new technologies in new feature releases, while providing an appropriate upgrade path, documentation and support for current and supported older releases.

The Internet is in flux as new ideas and methods for communicating are developed. Drupal is focused on providing standards-compliant solutions for growing with the future. RSS is a good example. With older versions of Drupal, you enabled a module to provide RSS feeds, while current versions provide RSS content feeds "out of the box".

While no one knows the future, you can be sure that Drupal will remain flexible and modular as it grows and adapts to changes on the web.
