A setting that lets modules easily protect a page POST via SSL. For example, using SSL (HTTPS) to login. Or using SSL (HTTPS) to change your password.

Any change for this request? According to the issue http://drupal.org/node/1577 SSL is in core. So, user.module will not use it or not yet using? Any manual to use it or and documentation for customization or doing ninja staff :)
