Hello,
I can't add or edit views because the Add Field, Add Arguments, Add Filters, Add Exposed Filters and Add Sort Criteria drop-down input fields are not appearing. When I click on a section link, such as "filters", the section opens and I can read "This view currently has no filters defined" but nothing appears that would allow me to define a field. Yesterday I tried disabling and re-enabling Views and for a short time these form elements did appear. Then they stopped showing up again. Today I tried disabling Views, unistalling Views, clearing the cache, clearing the Views cache, removing and re-untarring the views module and re-enabling Views and I am having the same problem. I thought it might be my custon theme, but the same behavior is present in Garland.
I sure would like to use this module and I hope someone can help me.

Do you have a wysiwyg/rte editor such as tinyMCE or FCKEditor enabled? These are known to cause problems with the Views UI in IE7.

Merlin of Chaos,

I do not have those enabled (or available). Upon your mention of a possible browser issue, I thought I'd take a look using the only other browser on my system at this point other than my default of IE 7.0. I tried the Views UI in Netscape 8.13. In Netscape, virtually nothing appears correct on the Add View page. The Basic Information pane is collapsed and won't expand and all the other expandable panes (block, fields, arguments, filters, etc.) are dead text, no links, won't expand. Only the pane label appears (ie "fields"). Funny, when I copy and paste the dead text into my text editor, all the "hidden" text was pasted. It's there, Netscape just won't display it properly.

So, this leads me to the question: What browser will the Views UI work best with? What other modules might upset the Views UI?
