I was just wondering how people have handled the pagination + META information issue where the same TITLE and META information will be displayed for subsequent pages for both your front page content and your taxonomy/categories content.

Ex.: http://www.yoursite.com and http://www.yoursite.com/?page=2 (etc.) will have the same TITLE tag and the same META information.

Do you Disallow those pages in your robots.txt file? Any specific modules that handle this issue (I looked, couldn't find any). While I am not overly concerned, since Google's Webmaster Central pointed the issues out to me I might as well try to address them the right way before I start hacking around the template engine.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure how much this will help, but perhaps you can incorporate something into your theme or find a module/make a module to do what is suggested below.

Personally I block search engines from accessing what I think they consider duplicate content. So far this hasn't caused me problems, as the pages that are split don't really need to be indexed.

Haha paulnem! That's exactly the impetus for my question - I read that article and my curiosity has gotten the best of me now.

Very funny!
