How are they able to update the "Latest Questions & Answers" and "Latest Groups" on the site http://www.mothersclick.com/ ? If you are not able to see what I am talking about, please look at the center for 10 seconds and you will see the list of questions/groups automatically getting updated/sliding down.

Since its a drupal site so is there any simple ways to do this ? is there any prebuild module/snippet available ?

I don't know how they did it, but there is this jQuery Spy plugin that might get you started. You might also want to ask Ted Serbinski a.k.a. m3avrck who wrote a few posts about MothersClick on his blog.
