No block translation support in latest version

I installed the new localizer module on a clean installation of Drupal 5.7 but I'm noticing there is no longer and block support. Only node, menu and taxonomy is supported and the block mention has been removed from the project page.

Is this by design or is it an omission? Or are we suppose to deal with blocks differently?

For the install I was using the full package located at http://www.speedtech.it/drupal-localizer, and did not notice any differences in the latest dev release.
