CCK time field

Hi,

I am creating a gig guide and I need two time fields (event start and event end) in the format of HH:MM (with no date component whatsoever). The only module I could find which comes close is the date module, but this still requires a year. I searched the forums and found this post: http://drupal.org/node/134144 where people have the same issue but there was no solution which would suit my needs. Creating two seperate drop downs which display one below the other is also not suitable.

Does anybody have a way to do this without me coding a new field type? (I don't mind coding a new field type if necessary but would like to avoid it).
