I am also looking for feedback on what people think would be the best way to encourage growth and on how to develop a strong community so that people will take the time to fill out the "My Profile" section, and also for ideas on a Venture collaboration system

The whole thing is a bit fuzzy, isn't it (what thing!)? What exactly does this site contain? A forum and the ability to register your profile? Perhaps you should write/obtain some articles and publish them, make a good link repository, set up a the ability to create groups and so on (well, I don't know if you've done any of these things). I must admit the text didn't make me want to join, and I expect the people you're searching for won't sign up unless they get something in return? A nice community would provide this, but to build the community, something needs to be added, no?

Also a minor design thing. Personally I think the padding was to little and maybe the text a bit to big. I believe more whitespace would've looked nice.
