Hello,

I have seen some bug reports over taxonomy module regarding duplicate terms at the same vocabulary. It is not clear if this issue is related to the taxonomy module, if it is a feature, or have some TAC specifics or whatever.

As explained, free tagging allows users create duplicate terms, when there exists a forbidden one.

TAC is broken with freetagging.

Marking this as duplicate of #676176: Caching in tac_db_rewrite_sql results in duplicate tags for freetaging vocabularies; see also #198773: Free tag vocabularies do not respect TAC and may cause duplicate term insertion.
