Hi

Creating a multisite similar to yahoogroups, using core functions rather than OG, each site will maintain itself.

www.community.com - registration site
www.community.com/site1 - site for community1
www.community.com/site2 - site for community2

I would like to manage the advertsing centrally through the registration site. Would that be possible?

In your settings file you can specify prefixes for table names and customise specific tables too. I think you could set your multi site to use separate tables for everything except the adverts.

The advertisement module will help you accomplish this.
