i coming from joomla to drupal and trying to figure out how to get up and running with drupal. i love that in general, it so much more robust that the other open source cms'.

my question is this: are the any theme/template clubs or good theme sites. with joomla, you have rockettheme, yoothemes, joomlashack and a plethora sites selling really good, funky, easily customized templates? anyone got links to sites selling themes (or membership based sites) that are as good as those i've seeing for joomla — preferably ones with professional designs, low fees, clean css, validating code, supportive forums and easily customizable designs. i'm sure they're out there as the drupal community seems large. i just haven't found these resources.

The themes are excellent - I was a rockettheme subscriber for a long time and always check the new release on the first of the month. Possibly the reason for this is that there is a large commercial community grown up around Joomla - with Drupal this is not the case.

With Drupal, things are a lot more sparse, but slowly changing. The best currently is Roopletheme (www.roopletheme.com) which has the benefit of being 100% free! The templates are good, with lots of options, and while they validate are not pure CSS in design.

Hope this helps,
Gareth

Not sure if you guys already have knowledge of this but Rockettheme, the previously predominantly Joomla theme producer now produces some really nice Drupal themes. Prices are quite reasonable. Joomlart is another one. Check out ThemeShark, ThemeForest, ThemeSnap, CMSQuickstart... Don't forget Antsin from Ireland!

Good luck!
