I have some issues with Gallerix, I am fairly new to Drupal so I am hoping they are simply overcome.

First of all, when I log in I would expect to find a link to MY album. This does not seem to exist at all.

Another issue is the fact that when I go to the main gallery page (/gallery), I just get an image that represents each album that has been created. There are no titles for the albums, no mention of the author etc etc.

Has anybody modified Gallerix to be more user friendly in these ways or better?

I'm interesten is this too... anyway i think Gallerix is the only easy way to make albums on drupal.

I agree. I could also use a solution to this. It schould look more like the image module gallery viewer.

One of my main objectives when creating Gallerix was to make it both easy, and simply to use. But perhaps I made it too simple. So for the next release, v1.4 I expect to make a lot of usability improvements on the album browsing page.

I have it running on D6.4 with 3 small albums and I think it is working right. I goto create content and choose album..You have to set permissions after install. The site is not all done yet, but you can look, www.buckeyelake.org . I have not upgraded to the newest views yet. You can find the albums from the archive page. I am just kinda testing it...version 6.x-1.x-dev
