Some users lose checkboxes on upgrade to OG 5.x-5.4

Issue Summary

Hi guys,

I just upgraded to OG 5.x-5.4 and started getting complaints from users that they had lost all their audience checkboxes and couldn't select an audience for their article submissions.

The only way I was able to get the checkboxes to show back up was to disable OG ABT.

It's odd because this only affected some of my users. I cleared the database cache and ran update.php just to be sure.

This is related to the issue that prompted the recent release of og-5.x-5.4. I'm working on a fix now.
