vbdrupal 5.7, glossary-5.x-1.7, hovertip-5.x-1.x-dev. DL'd, uploaded, enabled modules set config settings, can enter glossary entries / defs... but all enteries are on one page... yes the setting is for them to split across # of pages and verified.

Note: when doing settings on general tab items for last 3 bullets didn't appear (show w/o desc, show on glossary page, clicking on term link will); for full html last bullet (blocked elements) didn't appear. For term indicator there is no choice for Hoverrtip. For those that didn't appear I couldn't set... but the 'across many smaller pgs is set'...

So anyone know why those 4 settings aren't there... how to get them to display... and how to get # smaller pgs vs one HUGE pg... why hovertips isn't recognized (yes its enabled and configured)...

Also to be thorough the glossary superscript shows in content pages, but no hoverlinks are displayed...

nancyw... thanks for the post... I'm so use to getting email notices of posts that I missed checking back... sorry... I'll try 1.8, then post results... in the interim what additional info are you looking for.

I'm so sorry... In my absense I've been through rain, sleet, hail, pestilence and now wind sheer or tornado or whatever they want to call it... meaning... my life has been a bit hectic... I will try 1.8 during the day and post the results...

Thanks again for the help and sorry for the delay...

Okay

OK upgraded to 1.8... same... perhaps I misunderstand the way the glossary works... on selecting menu I get a long page of terms and what's there represents perhaps 15 % of the eventual glossary. However, when I click on a letter, I get just the terms for the letters, when I click a term I get that term and definition. The only thing that I have an issue with is the first long page of terms... I assume the config. to break into small pages would also break up this page (set as story) perhaps I assume wrong...

The config for hover is still not visible...

I can't find where to clear cache_filter, but it seems to do that auto. when I change settings...

Not sure I understand Input formats, so I enabled them all... (called grasping at straws)

Let me know what I can do to help troubleshoot...

You can clear the filter by doing http://www.example.com/glossary/clearcache - I guess I should add a page with a button on it like Views does. http://drupal.org/node/223761

When you go to the Glossary page you will get a list of all the terms. Whether this includes the definitions is a setting; this is also true for the page-per-letter view. Perhaps I can add in a pager for this. http://drupal.org/node/223762

If the Hovertips module is installed and enabled, then the settings page for the input format will include "hovertip" as a "Term indicator" option in the select list. I just created an issue to change the choice from a select list to radio buttons. http://drupal.org/node/223766

For the majority of Drupal sites, the only input formats that will use Glossary are "Filtered HTML" and "Full HTML."

Sorry for delay... let my ISP trash my network and knew better yet... cost week +... I quickly scanned...

The easy one... I was linking menus to glossary... if you link to a letter in the glossary you don't get a scrolling page of terms... don't know if this is a workaround or the way it was intended to work...

I'll review other stuff as long as I can stay awake and see what gives... I did look at config earlier and the hovertips are still not displaying, so nothing to set.

Thanks for sticking with this while I was down.

In the menu, be sure to include "letter?" where "?" is the letter you want to show. http://www.example.com/glossary/12/lettera

If hovertips is not showing up, then you've apparently not installed it correctly.
