make backlinks view customisable

i'd like to customise backlinks (eg add link from block to page view)
when i click on
/admin/build/views/add/backlinks
then klick
save
i get an error message: 3x "validation error"
( german "Fehler bei der Gültigkeitsüberprüfung, bitte versuchen Sie es erneut. Falls der Fehler bestehen bleibt, wenden Sie sich bitte an den Administrator der Seite.")

I haven't seen this issue, are there any other steps to reproduce it, such as installing some other module or particular configuration?

no.
i only have this installation so i cannot check on other systems.
can anyone else reproduce this?
or does customising work for other people?

steps to reproduce
- install and activate backlinks
- go to /build/views
- find backlinks view in the bottom part of the views list
"Below are system default views; if you edit one of these, a view will be created that will override any system use of the view."
(before customising backlinks view we have to add it first to user-defined views)
- click "add" to go to /admin/build/views/add/backlinks
- dont change anything, click save
- see VALIDATION ERRORS

I have been trying to work with backlinks for the past 3 days. I do not get the validation errors specified above, but I am not able to get backlinks to work at all. Can anybody help?

You need to provide clear explanation of the problem and steps to reproduce. If you don't see the same symptoms as reported in this issue, please check the issue queue for symptoms that match yours in existing issues, or else create a new issue.

Btw I recently saw "validation errors" on a site and was able to resolve it by turning off caching. Not sure what the root cause was.

I finally got backlinks to work after I installed poormanscron. Thank you.
