I'd like to have the ability to sell ads on my drupal site. These ads would have to be rotated in some cases, and static but changed out in others. How to I do that? Is there a module that facilitates this for me, or will I have to go in manually every day that I want to change the ads?

The Ad module will do everything you need.

Could u please explain how we can use ad module for buying the ad space

whenever advertiser clicks on that ad space he should be able to put the banner and upload it

then next thing is to buy the ad thruogh payment

EDITED: Actually, I think this is solved. What you should do is use a pay-to-post type module, so that your users pay to create a certain type of content (i.e., an "advertisement"). I just installed the Drupal ad module and I'm going to tool around with it over the next couple of weeks, so I should have a better idea of how to set this up by the time I'm done.

** Old portion: I'd like to know this as well - can we sell ads where the user simply logs on, purchases an ad, sets the package they'd like to purchase, uploads their ads, etc., so the system runs automatically? Or is there a better solution for this? I looked at OpenX and this question isn't directly answered there either. Not sure what the best automated ad purchase/server for Drupal is. **

I have been using open-x for a while, but this interests me as an automated way for potential advertisers to create the ad there and then would increase business a lot imo.

I looked at the drupal ad module, but as far as i can tell it doesnt facilitate purchasing of ad space. hobbesent, are u intending to try and just use a pay to post module in conjunction with the ad module without any custom development? Sounds good but I'm skeptical that it will work in reality and each module probably works in very specific ways.

Which pay to post type module would people reccomend?
