i'd love a notes command on the package manager module that displayed latest release notes. the link is already in the info returned by update_status ... perhaps also a command to show any README files in a given package.

For starters, what about optionally showing the readme at beginning or end of dl command? Comments?

i'd suggest including the full path of README into pm-info. the file itself can get quite long, so people may prefer to read it with vim or so ...
