Problems with user pictures in posts

How to recreate the problem:

- Fresh copy of drupal 5.6 (core, no additional modules) + deco 5.x-1.x-dev.
- Administer>>User management>>User settings>>Picture support:enabled
- Administer>>Site building>>Themes>>Deco (enabled+default)>>configure>>Toggle display: User pictures in posts + User pictures in comments
- My account>>Edit>>upload picture
- Create content>>Story or Page (doesn't matter)

There are two problems:

1. User pictures are missplaced when the user is not logged in (Firefox, IE 6.0, Opera 9.25):

2. While logged in full nodes look different in IE 6.0 and Firefox/Opera:

a) IE 6.0 -> http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs224&d=08074&f=ie925.png
b) Opera/Firefox -> http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs224&d=08074&f=opera792.png

If I were to suggest something... i'd prefer the IE version, that is without the gap :)
