I would like my users to enter their own content as well as linking to other people's stories. As such they would not need to enter a URL. My understanding is Drigg is dependent on URL so I believe if the URL field is left empty it should simply be auto-populated with the link of the page itself.

Hi,

I agree, this is a good feature to have. I am mostly concerned about this feature though, because a "scoop" is meant to be bu definition an "external scoop".
However, since I am not entirely sure it would be a bad idea, I would be happy to implement this and see what happens.

I do see what you mean, but I think this feature can potentially extend the use of Drigg beyond strictly Digg-clone sites...

Without wanting to be pushy, can I ask how quickly you think this might be implemented?

Please note that I have just released a _major_ version of Drigg, _and_ rewritten the karma subsystem. I've basically spent the last 3 days programming, pretty much 13 hours/day.
