After a bit of a delay I found a bit of time to finish off the initial port to 6.x.
On the main project page you will now find a 6.x-2.9-alpha1 release. This is for you early adopters and testers who just can't wait to see WebFM in a Drupal 6.x site.
Please test and submit bug reports.
Sorry - At this time there are no automated tests for WebFM - but I hope I will be able to write some before the full release.

I will be creating a development branch in CVS for the new version as soon as I have the code a little more stable.
