Can Movable Type blog posts be integrated into Drupal nodes?

ArgentOfChange - February 15, 2008 - 00:03

Howdy All,
Is it at all possible to get blog post teasers generated by Movable Type (or any other non-Drupal platform) into a Drupal node?
I know there's a possibility to get Wordpress and Drupal working together, but how about MT?
Cheers and thanks!

Aggregator

Any RSS feed can be digested by the standard Drupal aggregator module. It does not create nodes. However, there are half a dozen contributed modules that create nodes from RSS feeds.

Thanks for that one - chalk

Thanks for that one - chalk it up to newbiehood!

Part Two of the question: Can the RSS feeds be incorporated through CCK (perhaps by adding a field that lets users input the RSS feed for a particular content type/)

Cheers from Aotearoa!

CCK

I'm not sure I see a relationship between CCK and RSS feeds except that the node aggregator modules generally let you choose the content type that will be used.

If you want to allow end users to add feeds to the system, take a look at the Mysite module.
