Please help! Imagefield Gallery is great but there is one thing I really wish it could do that would be perfect for me at the moment.
I believe I am having a problem with the " as link" option under
Home » Administer » Content management » Content types >> ""
then choosing " as link" option under "FULL" on my imagefield selection box.
Is it still suppose to show the full images or just a link? I really wish it would just show a link but it is not.
I believe it an error because when I chose the normal available preset i.e. just "" it looks exactly the same as choosing the " as link" option.
Basically I want to be able to show only one image (which I can do with a second imagefield) but have the Imagefield Gallery field only be a link to "hidden" images.
So the user will only see one image but can click on a link or icon to see many more images not shown in the Full node using the Imagefield Gallery/lightbox display.
Hope this is clear.

eclipsegc commentedOk, well that's great, but a couple points.
1.) you need not edit the display settings on the content type at all, just leave them as default. The controlling imagefield_gallery should take care of the rest.
2.) lightbox doesn't work the way you want it to. The images are all going to show, if you want it to work some other way, you should clone imagefield_gallery_lightbox2 module and rework it to do what you want because what you're asking for is exactly the reason the module was built to handle multiple gallery types. Not everyone wants the same things, so programming it all into the same module is impractical. The primary imagefield_gallery.module was coded to support exactly these sort of needs, but you will have to create your own gallery module for it. Just read through the code, I tried to comment everything so that someone else could follow along with what I've done. the imagefield_gallery_lightbox2.module is probably the best place to start.
Again, this is NO bug, it's by design. I've filed this against 1.0 since it works the same.

HelpDrupalHelpMe commentedThanks for the reply, so what does the selected option " 'myImagecachepreset' as link" do?
Is there suppose to be a link displayed?

eclipsegc commentedThat's for defining what imagecache settings you want to use for teasers and for previews. Imagefield kind of hooks right in nicely. But if you're using my module it should be set to default as my module over-writes all of that stuff anyway.
