I was just curious what the plans were for this module as it relates to Drupal 6?

itowler commentedI to am interested in getting a module for Phpgedview and Drupal 6.
Is there enough interest to put together a bounty for the module?

grahamshepherd commentedI would love to see phpgedview for Drupal 6 and would be prepared to contribute.
I am having a great deal of success with my 5.x site with the single exception of the login problem which almost everybody seems to experience and which remains unfixed. I notice that a new phpgedview extension has just been released for Joomla! 1.5. Surely we can do it for Drupal.

marcus0263 commentedYes, a port to Drupal 6 would defiantly be appreciated!

iishaq commentedI am also very interested in having the module work with drupal 6.

grahamshepherd commentedThe PhpGedView community has taken over this module for security reasons. The module has been taken off the Drupal site and is now included in the PGV download as a cms_interface module.
There are versions for Drupal, Joomla and PostNuke. It comes with a single pgv cms_login.php component to replace drupal.php (and Joomla and PostNuke equivalents). The package also includes Drupal phpgedview.module with slight modifications to point to the location of cms_login.php within PGV.
However, phpgedview.module requires further modification to correctly pass username and password information to cms_login.php to work in its simplest form. So some further work is required to get even Drupal 5.x to work.
With willing support from the PGV community I wonder if a Drupal expert could be persuaded to take on the task of getting 5.x to work properly and to transition to 6.x?

akolahi commentedI've looked over the PHPGedView and did not see any module there taking over this one... none that links PhpGedView to Drupal. I did see a link on one of their pages referencing Drupal and that brings you back to this project's page. Where is this download you speak of?
Also, I am very interested in a Drupal 6 version of this module.

karens commentedThe PhpGedView maintainers wanted this code moved to their repository, which is why there are no files here any more. I removed all the code from this project at their request. All further work must be done in the PhpGedView repository.
I'm closing the remaining issues and unpublishing the project page, since Drupal project pages are intended to be used to manage code that resides in the Drupal repository.
