Perfect Menus?

I need help with the menu system in Drupal. I want to create menus like those found on http://www.watchfire.com/

I am using Drupal 5.7
I am using the Zen Classic theme

I have tried coupling these extensions:

http://drupal.org/project/menutrails

With this tutorial:

This is the closest I can get. Isn't there an easier solution? Or is the solution not to use Zen Classic's built-in tabs, and use something else? Zen Classic's secondary links layout is close to watchfire.com's menus.
