Hello..
I wish to migrate my website : www.kurageart.eu
to drupal---

for what I understoode, is better for seo, and also for multilanguage site...

Can anyone give me some tips?

The main modules i will need is something that get content from a selected cathegory and post it in a block position of my site, with a nice thumb..
In joomla, i used the module "miny front page" at it works well for me..
I tried to installa drupal 6 in my hostgator hosting, in the addon domain www.animazione3d.com , just for testing a bit. For some reason when i try to install fck editor it doesen't work, it tells me there' s an error in fckeditor.module on line 125...
Can it be cause this domain point to a subdirectory of my hosting?
Any idea?

Welcome to Drupal.

I don't think your fckeditor problem is related to being in a subdirectory. you might check out the fckeditor issue queue to see if anyone else is having trouble. Drupal 6 is pretty new and solid, but the themes and modules are still catching up.

If you don't have a compelling reason to upgrade to Drupal 6, you would probably be better off using Drupal 5 or else waiting a few months. It looks like your site is fairly complicated, and I think you are going to be pretty disappointed with the current module support for Drupal 6. It will catch up and is catching up, but Views and CCK, two of Drupal most important modules aren't even available yet. Usually they would be, but Views is getting a makeover and CCK seems to be waiting on Views.

Drupal 6 does have improved multi-language features over Drupal 5, but it may not offer anything more that you need.

I hope you stick around. Drupal should meet your needs very well.

This is exactly what I was looking for, thats why I joined this forum.. I wanted to convert my Joomla to drupal for same reason claudeca had,, im not very good and very techy with internet, im just beginning to learn.. :) Now I know I am at the right place.. ;) thanks again..

this way you can use any editors of your choice.
