If you created a filter which is time based (e.g last comment type) and set the default value as now with option of minus number of seconds, it does not obey the negative seconds and defaults to now only. Looks it is probably ignoring option field.

This version of Views Filter Block is not supported anymore. The issue is closed for this reason.
Please upgrade to a supported version and feel free to reopen the issue on the new version if applicable.
