Does anybody know where I can get the theme/template for the theme being used on Drupal.org, Ubuntu.com, Kubuntu.org, etc?
The theme with the Tabs at one right side and the logo on the left at the top... the one that drupal.org uses...

Thanks.

Blue beach(drupal.org) is not available. Search the forums for oft repeated reasons. Ubuntu.org appears to be Plone.

Take a look at the spreadfirefox theme, it may get you where you want to go.

SpreadFirefox theme is totally broken and no way ready for a production site ( I'd even refrain from using it in Demo ). I guess the best freely available theme is FriendsElectric. Thanks to the creator of it :)

A site will only have a unique, interesting look if you create your own, it's that simple.

The tabs are nothing more than CSS rollovers applied to primary links. There is nothing special about them.

Please, please, please search next time. The most obvious search query (drupal.org theme) gives the original Bluebeach thread as 4th result.

Given that mambo is also using a similar tabbed based design, maybe it's time to rethink that idea that bluemarine be kept exclusively for drupal.org. Perhaps it would be good if bluemarine, or at least a version of it (different color scheme), were released to the drupal community. The original idea behind not doing so was that it would effectively be unique to the Drupal website, but that no longer seems to be the case since every other CMS seems to have a smiliar version of it. it's only in the drupal community that there is one instance.

I created a new thread to discuss the idea of releasing a version of bluebeach.

You could tweak some of the existing themes to get something building on the ideas from sites you like... The Ubuntu site does look somewhat similar to various Drupal themes, to my eyes. Hmm....

since I've sent in several project requests/emails trying to get approval/information to upload it to CVS ... and have been ignored ... I guess it's not available due to whatever.

Sorry , you have to use old themes, no new one allowed, at least not from me.

It looks dumb anyway. You can see it at http://drupal.cyberocity.com

I got tired of being ignored so I quit trying ... but if you want it I'll put it up for download for ya.

Don't give up--it took several weeks for my CVS approval to come through. In the meantime, go ahead and put up a copy of your (very nice!) theme on your own site for download.

Oh for crying out loud, you are not being ignored, but there are 3 very busy people who have access to create CVS accounts. They will get to it. In the mean time, double check that any account creation message wasn't caught in your spam filters.

Well, does anybosy know of any themes that are similar, that use the tab sort of look? I know absolutley NO php or css or whatever language is used to make themes for drupal. If there isn't one, if somebody could please make a template? For clolours, if you need to put them in, use mainly white and light greys. I will make the images myself.

so I left off. They are very attractive though. My interest would probably be more if there was some real interest from others.

While I'm saying this I'm working on dhtml drop-down menus that are dynamically created by the database, much like drupal primary and secondary links ...

So while i work on drop down menus I will see if I can create the tabs for the drop down, then use the tabs in a drupal theme.

Mebbe sumthing will come up:)

I worked on tabs theme for you a little, have gotten basic tabs working, now just need to tweak the way they look, which is minor stuff. What's important is that they are in the right place and etc.

I put them down for Bluesmoke theme but I can put them up and to the right as in drupal.org them also, not a big deal.

take a look and see if it's going where you were thinking.
