Hi all,
Some time ago, I replied to a post on this forum, nothing special. I think I was the first one to do so. The discussion evolved in such a way that I wasn't interested in it anymore. However, it grew and grew and grew, and every darn day I keep getting replies. So, I was wondering: can I sort of "unsubscribe" from a certain thread on this forum?? If so, how?? I know I never knowingly "subscribed", but the fact that you keep getting updates in your Track amounts to the same thing. I would like my Track to be a repository of threads which do interest me, so it would be nice to be able to clean it up. Can I?

the forum on drupal.org doesn't send out emails & there is no way to subscribe to forum threads.
If you've subscribed to a topic in the issue query you can unsubscribe from them using the subscribe link
If you've subscribed to something on groups.drupal.org then you can unsubscribe there.
We can help with this is you paste a linked title to the thread
Hi VeryMisunderstood. Thanks
Hi VeryMisunderstood. Thanks for your reply. I know the forum on Drupal.org has no real subscription system, and I know the forum doesn't send mails (thank god...), but once you have replied to a thread, you keep getting informed in your Track about "new" messages, and once you (well, me, that is :-) ) have the kindness to reply to something, you are stuck with that thread in your Track, even though you don't want to see it anymore, even if it is completely filled with rubbish, even if it evolves into something completely different from the original subject.
And probably the site admin could erase that particular thread from my track, but I don't want to burden busy people with my personal likes or dislikes. Having a "Cancel" or "Remove this thread from my Track" button would be much simpler, and therefore highly appreciated.

A) I'm a site maintainer.
B) you still havent produced a link to the thread
C) it's showing in your tracker because you commented on it. So a cancel link would do nothing really. It will always remain in your tracker because you have a comment on that thread. That is your subscription. The moment you comment on a thread, it now gets added to your tracker. I can't leave your comment and remove it from your tracker. I can remove your comment, but ONLY if no one directly commented on your comment. If someone has commented on your comment then it must stay or all the comments attached to yours will also be removed.
I believe the thread you are talking about is here: http://drupal.org/node/128085
where there are two commets attached to yours.
Edit: I've changed the name of the submittter of your comment to anonymous. This should suffice as it is now removed from your tracker.
Thanks for removing that
Thanks for removing that thread from my Track, VeryMisunderstood, but see, the fact that you, the site maintainer, had to spend your time to remove that thread from my Track was exactly my point: it's not so much you but I who should be able to do so. The Track, as it is now, is a rather "dumb" repository of everything I once commented in. Nice, for the most part, but still, after some time it gets very cumbersome to wade through. Some "cleanup facility" would make a lot of sense, or even a "Hide" button would do. The original threads and comments can stay where they are, for others to enjoy if they want. Having a Track With Cleanup would make it into a nice instrument of "interesting tidbits", whereas now it is just "everything". But it's not in the code, I know. Oh well, maybe in version 7 or so :-) Anyway, thanks for your time.
doesn't send out emails???
sure it does. I just got one from http://drupal.org/node/240828 and there are a long list of other times that send me emails, and all of them from drupal.org
I'd like to unsubscribe from all of them as I no longer use drupal.

Did you take the time to read this entire thread?
Again, the drupal.org forums DO NOT send out emails.
You are being emailed because you subscribed to issue queues as seen in the link you pasted here. Two completely different animals.
want the issue queue subscriptions to stop?
navigate to http://drupal.org/project/issues/drupal
click on subscriptions at the top of the page and turn them off for every queue you subscribed to.
