At a request I've created some files to integrate/use PRADO pages in Drupal. Included are a user class so the Drupal user works as a PRADO user integrated in it's security system, and from PRADO one may take advantage of Drupals security/user system. You may create regular Drupal menu items pointing to specific PRADO pages in the form ?q=prado/modulename/pagename (path configuration changeable). My client (and I) would like to contribute this, but I'm not sure how appropriate it is, PRADO not being Drupal and all. Before I contribute here, I'd like to get "approval". Anyone interested in the files may also contact me directly.

For those who don't know PRADO. It's a framework for creating component based web applications. It's written in object oriented code and requires PHP 5 (a nice oppertunity to get to know the new features). It allows you to define templates containing component definitions (textbox, datagrid, button and so on), and access them easily in your corresponding page class. Your page class is a component and may like other components be extended to provide specialized behaviour. It allows you to attach events to certain components and they will typically call methods of your page class. So, you may fairly easily create complex forms and add actions to them. The "viewstate" of the page/form is kept over several interactions between the user and the application, and hence it works similar to typical RAD tools. It may be appropriate for instance for complex data management, or multipage forms by easing the creating process.

PRADO has been inspired by Delphi and ASP.NET and it won a big Zend contest last year.

I'd be interested in taking a look at the code.

I am a PRADO user so I am definately interested in seeing the code and implementation. Have you done this in Drupal 4.6 or the upcoming 4.7?

I am more interested in this if it works with 4.6 because It would give the same functionality of the newer 4.7 forms API without me having to learn something new.

What made you think of putting Prado into Drupal?

I liked the way the truck/van vehicle thing forms were presented..although the demo crashed my explorer...and it was one of the only demos that appeared to work - almost all of the others gave some sort of database error when I tried them.
