Zen theme problem

I uploaded a few new themes and all installed correctly but zen.
When I go the the theme admin panel, I can see the zen theme but instead of the screenshot, I see "Screenshot for zen theme" instead.
The link is correct - http://www. mysite.com/sites/all/zen/screenshot.png
It just does not display the image even though the path is correct and if the theme is enabled, the theme displays plainly with out style applied.
It only happens for this theme and yes I have checked the file permissions and it is readable.
I am stumped. Any ideas on how to solve this?

what happens if you move the zen folder to sites/all/themes (you will have to create the themes folder if it does not exist)?
I have the same problem (and
I have the same problem (and do have the zen folder in sites/all/themes ).
Another topic mentioned changing the directory to zen-theme, due to apache problems (http://drupal.org/node/167469). That does not work well with zen 1.1.
Someone any ideas how to solve this "apache problem"?
