We need a way to allow a look up of our distributors offices by zip code. Since we assign territories by counties, they need to be included. It would be nice to add in a map.

- City
- County
- State
- Zip Code

I have searched and not found a post with a clear answer. I did find the Location County Field Module at http://drupal.org/node/221370, but it isn't clear how to use it. I also found a post by AndrewGearhart at http://drupal.org/node/51641 that seemed like he might have dealt with a similar issue, but I wasn't clear on how.

Does anyone have a solution for this scenario? Please advise.

Thank you.

Take a look at XtremeLocator module for drupal at http://www.xtremelocator.com/cms-component-downloads/drupal.html
XtremeLocator has territory feature where you can assign territories by county to your locations.

stop advertising here - unless you state in your posts that you charge for this service. To me, this crap is spam and someone's way of pushing their SEO up.

Xtreme locator is pretty good - but it is a pay for play module. Since you are in the open source community, it seems like a bad way to put a face on your store.

Please, offer up real comments, I mean I could put here "Well, IDK - but I can develop that for you for $$$"

It's just cheap - please don't cheapen up my Drupal.

Nothing unreal exists.

Hey - I made some instructions on how to make a store locator that searches via postal code, since there seems to be zero documentation on the whole thing. It does everything by postal code, and you should be able to at least add another exposed filter in views for country. There are still some issues with multi-national locations, but I believe those are minor to what you are trying to accomplish.

go to here: http://ph-balanced.com/node/32

These are instructions for setting up a store location in Drupal 5, it is complicated, but it works well!

I hope that helps everyone with instructions for an alternative that is free and works entirely within the Drupal API.

Please feel free to comment, and I will respond with better instructions, more instructions and ultimately a webcast on the whole thing.

Cool?
